Armor/bags has been discussed before but where it stands its is a hinderance when its broken. Negative effects should be removed alongside the armor/bag being broken. IE Player has armor/bag that reduces move speed by 5%. When that is broken in a fight, the player should now be able to move 5% faster.
Alongside this, when a player selects a bag or armor, the places where these protect the player should be highlighted in some way in the menu. Either with a slide bar, a slowly fading in/out of the effected area, or a quick flash upon equipping the piece. Giving the player an idea of what angles are still venerable to the player, and helping armor choices for those who care for this.
Additionally for the hardcore Mil Sim fans. With the topic of armor/bags, when they're broken that player should lose some of the benefits of the armor as well. IE breaking a heavy bag will essentially 'delete' any additional projectiles/throwables that come with the bag. If armor gives extra magazines, the player should lose some of them starting from the left side, so if anyone was trying to save empty mags while wearing it they'd lose them. ( I would not suggest taking the same amount of mags that the piece benefits from due to the nature of spawning and instantly being almost killed in a lot of scenarios)
