It's nice that I can see the weapon of my killer! But I would also like to know what optics & attachments they were using so I can take inspiration for my own loadouts. Example screenshot from BF4.
I'm curious to know how viable all the various builds are, and getting that info one piece at a time from the people that kill you is the most organic way to complement player experimentation. "Wow they really run a suppressor on that gun? Maybe I should try it..." etc.
Also: When I kill someone with an F You sight, heavy pistol 8x scope, or iron sights on a sniper, they might not even realize and think I got them with conventional means! I want them to know they got owned with a meme strat, that's half the fun of it!
Another nice effect is that it gives you something to think about and "do" while you wait for respawn/revive.
