Replace Recon's grappling hook with a zip-line, able to fire up to a set distance and slide down at speeds depending on the angle of the wire. (too fast might be lethal?).
I think it would self-balance in such that you can't have it too steep or you'll suffer fall damage, you'd be a sitting duck for snipers, or a very free kill if the enemies camping the landing area
Maybe it can't be removed by friendlies if someones on it, but enemies still can
Advantages:
- Would promote increased teamwork (Recon now need assault to cheese camping spots, recon can enable faster shortcuts for their team)
- Provides more class uniqueness
- Inability to fire (same as grapple) whilst zipping means movement advantage = vulnerability
- Enables more dynamic pathing through maps
- Cutting an enemy rope while someones zipping down it is hilarious
