#Finnaly a DustyDew map rework?

Not map opinion (This is a great rework) but grass opinion, it is less natural than before and the render distance seem to be very low. I don't understand the last change you made about that at 9/10/2023. The mines are now useless and the environment design is worse due to this grass nerfing. We can keep a natural feeling even with this kind of graphics. Old grass was better, more consistent and useful for soft covering. If you don't get it, I made a Reddit post to show what I mean. https://www.reddit.com/r/BattleBitRemastered/comments/17dun9m/revert_back_old_grass_model_the_new_one_is_awful/
PS : You do a great job, my opinion seem to be rude I know, but I love the game 🙂
yea grass is cool i agree but there's already problems with visibility (IMO) especially on maps like District (fog + a lot of grass + a lot of details). And no, mines aren't useless if you use them properly. And, tbh, why'd you place mines in open field lol?
Also this game isn't about graphics at all so why enviroment etc should matter?
During historical wars and today's wars the mines can be placed in a open-field, in the grass. This game is not a milsim, but does it mean it must be as arcade as possible ? So yes, mines have lost a useful utility. And as I said even if the game is not about graphics we can keep something good despite the Roblox style. Something natural. The grass now seem to be brushed in tiles/square patern and the density is also very reduced.
i personally have nothing against grass but tbh for example last map that was added (kodiak) is extremely bad in terms of visiblity. And mostly because of two factors: grass and colors.
If there's a solution that can keep good quality grass and visiblity - let's do it, but previous version in my opinion was worse
Does anyone know when we can expect the next update to be released? A month from now? A week? It would be real nice to let the player base know.
noone knows :)
Why must you hurt me so
sorry
Usually, mines in open-field warfare were placed by the thousands in open fields to channel assaulting forces into kill zones for heavy weapons to be concentrated upon.
This is far from how mines are used in BBR. They serve as explosive booby traps to kill attackers or lurkers and force them to slow down. The grass rework makes this far more difficult to achieve in open fields, although this was never considered a wise use of mines in BBR in the first place. Usually they are placed in stairwells, doorways, in cover useful for the enemy, and around ledges one can vault over.
i know
