bait item for fresh installs. not only useless, but actively annoying for your own team. should just be removed completely, and replaced with the grappling hook for new players

Problems:

• Putting it down immediately draws attention to your location.
• Constant pattern makes it very obviously fake after a couple of seconds.
• Default item for new players, basically just a noobtrap.

Suggestion:

• Give it the same camera as airdrone (zoom, rangefinder).
• Doesn't do anything when placed, but glints while actively being used.

This would give new players immediate access to a rangefinding tool which is very important for sniping and the ability to more safely watch their surroundings to get familiar with them. And with the controllable glint, even more experienced players could use it strategically to bait enemies into thinking you're somewhere you're not.

Bit of a troll item for your own team and your own team shoots it half the time. I don't see why it even exists, it's so obvious when it's the gadget and not an actual sniper

if were gonna keep it as is,
can it do a purple? (i dunno the color to use for this) ping around the general area the bullets that are being shot at it, are fired from? that just the person who places it down sees?
like the ping doesnt have to be on the person who shot at it, just hey, i was shot at from this area/building

It could be the same indicatior that shows you where you‘ve been shot from but in a different colour

I like this, a deployable spotting camera seems fun

Way too easy to differentiate from an actual glint, the MDX rotates and I highly doubt that sniper on the hill next to it is doing casual 360s just for fun.
Doesn't actually do anything other than take a Gadget slot and give the enemy free points.
