#Humvee - Feedback

Looks like a jeep, works like a jeep, feels like a jeep and hovercraft hybrid
Good vehicle, perfectly balanced
windshield please
Humvees are well balanced RN, lower to the ground than the gas tiger so it's easier to hide. But with larger windows so it's easier to be shot from the side. I wish supports would be able to resupply the 50 cal version in the field tho and not have to drive all the way back to base.
That would be so cool.
support resupply for the humvee and gastiger would be cool indeed
i feel like there needs to be a way to take the keys out of a vehicle. it's far too common for someone to just spawn in your humvee when you're parked in an advantageous position in the gunner seat, and drive off, getting both of you killed instantly
the keys could just magically teleport back to the vehicle if the person who took them died
there's an argument to be made against it due to it being selfish, but i think that'd be preferable to the current system, where someone can just grief you, either on purpose or just because they're clueless
Can't use buildables inside a vehicle so maybe that menu can instead be used to spend squad points to lock the vehicle? Then locking can't be arbitrarily abused by griefers either.
Add the ability to crouch inside the vehicle turret, that way you would lower your head but you would not be able to aim the MG.
Yeah this should be a possibility for the driver/copilot as well imo.
And I don't get why only passengers in the back are allowed to shoot. Maybe disable gear so you can't do an RPG/C4 driveby but otherwise it doesn't feel like it would make them OP.
Good vehicle but the fact it can be 1 shot by anyone with a tandem from 200 meters away makes it trash and why no one uses them offensively and purely for transport purposes
@grim whale has earned the Tier I Member role!
Also, this is less of a humvee specific critique but exiting a vehicle should take the same amount of time that it takes to enter it.
Makes ambushes kinda shit when someone can just pop out if you hit them with a HEAT and beam you if you didn't immediately swap to your primary
so you're saying c4 humvee should be removed entirely
Sometimes, after failed/succesfull run with 7m/hmg jeep, I yearn for MRAPS, so small arms can't damage vehicle while I and a freiend are laying the law
The 50. Cal humvee and gaz should have a spare ammo boxes to keep the fighting going
It's not all the time but sometimes I got teammates helping driving and walking near the humvee while advancing to the objective
Just let support resupply em
Allow locking vehicles. I'm a humvee 7m guy, but I can't use it effectively when someone hops in my truck and steals the gun, or moves me when I am gunning.
this allows griefing of spawn transports, tanks and APCs, Helos too. any form of locking of a naturally spawned vehicle is never a good idea
the griefing that's caused by people driving off with your humvee is much, much worse
really all you have to do is make so you can't lock more than 1 vehicle, and that the vehicle gets unlocked once you die
either that, or instead of locking it, just let us take the keys out of the ignition, so you can spawn in the vehicle and leave it, but you can't turn on the engine
make the 50. cal on the 50. cal version have a better sound
Let us peek out windows as passengers.
Posted this on another post, apologies for any inconveniences.
How about: locking the vehicle costs a non-trivial amount of squad points and immediately triggers the respawn timer for the vehicle, so the team eventually gets a new one even if you choose never to give yours up.
That would be annoying to do considering you would be able to do that like at most 3 times a match unless you squad constantly plays obj, and lets be honest, that's a rarity.
but yeah Squad lock would be a nice option until you get out. or maybe it has a 20 second cooldown once the last squad member gets out where you vehicle can't be stolen
squad lock wouldn't stop a squadmate from stealing your humvee
to me it happens most often when a squadmate spawns in the humvee while im in the gunner seat, and drives off to get both of us killed
Right now adding even just a general 10sec block whenever you get out would be nice
*driver hops out*
"ғᴜᴜᴜᴄ ɢᴇᴛ ɪɴ ᴛʜᴇ sᴇᴀᴛ ᴀᴀᴀᴀᴀᴀᴀᴀᴀᴀᴀᴀᴀᴀ"
*loud impact noise*
this is more towards all vehicles but its mostly noticeable with humvee/gastiger vehicle momentum should count for kills. so many times do i get shot out of the driver seat when im going max speed and only an inch away from ramming someone just for it to harmlessly bump into them because i died before making contact.
does the m2browning version not have an ammo counter or am i blind?
no way to check ammo I think, never tested the "check ammo" function though.
Browning Hummer with a "duck" option would be nice.
Doesn't but should
Nerf M7 machinegun accuracy, things are ridiculous gunning down at 500m no problem
As much as I love doing so myself (turn ur back to enemies and see whos the real sniper) its bs
It's not that accurate, unless you shoot at bots
It's velocity is so low, that any movement at that range will make you miss 99% of times
And spread also is bad
HMG is a laser, but with high dropoff
500 meters is kinda like nothing for the bigger mgs. especially those in a crows system. even then, in game unless the person just does not react or move in any way, your likely not getting the kill unless there is absolutely no cover for them to hide behind.
No idea what you on about with that movement
Ppl are standing still to shoot and thats where they are easy pickings.
Spread is not bad at all, thats the exact reason Im typing here
Good? Standing still to shoot takes a fraction of a second. If the M7 doesn't get them another sniper that can walk and chew gum at the same time will do.
the transport variants need some kind of back armor for drivers. you die the second someone sees you because theres nothing to cover you
The developers can add an option to ask for a ride, I see many players who, at the beginning of the game, try to hitch a ride in the cars coming from the base, but are unable to do so, as the vehicles are fast. In addition to some already being full, to resolve this, the player would simply have to look at a moving vehicle and press a button requesting a ride, the driver would see a notification from a player requesting a ride and would show the direction and how many meters away he is in the vehicle, this way it would be easier for players who are in the middle of the road to get a ride to the objectives.
Humvees and gastigers are barely utilized since you're such a sitting duck while inside. What if they had windows that could take one shot atleast before breaking. Kinda like player head armor but for vehicles.
Windows that take one shot will do little. Usually you don't know you're being shot out of your seat until you are being hit, at which point the window will be destroyed already, and usually the shot that breaks the windows will be only one bullet out of an entire burst.
What you can do is take a 7M and drive it backwards. There are no windows in the back of 7Ms.
You'd be surprised how many encounters are decided by one bullet. It would also be great against snipers that sit at the other end of long roads that just dome you without warning.
It could just get the heli treatment and apply a % reduction to damage + get a visual damage effect that obscures vision.
Not only would it make it far more usable, but driving a shot up Humvee just feels badass.
Getting on and off the humvees, need to be reworked. Since you have to hold down the key to get on or off, I often accidentally get right back onto the humvee after I get off because the time to hold down the key is so short. So, I'll hold down the key to get off, and if I'm standing close to the humvee, I'll hop right back onto it before I can let go of the key. It needs to be changed, so that the input for getting into a vehicle cannot be used to get back in; it must be a separate input. Ideally, once I hold down a key to get off a humvee, it doesn't matter how long I hold it, I cannot get back on until i release the key and press it again.
This is a crosspost from the quad bike feedback, it's primarily a problem on the quad bike, but I've occasionally done this on humvees too.
allow me to bind a button for entering a vehicle that is separate from interact
Bruh why do so many people want more button inputs. This isn't Tarkov.
you can double bind shit, you want to keep it the same you can. I just want the option.

We’ve thought of the backs of vehicles doing something else yeah. But making them a bit more useful would always be a welcome change.
Indeed, this idea has been brought up before, and it is a good one! Although I wonder if this would just create a different problem of snipers stealing them so they can snipe infinitely without even needing to call the airdrop
soooo.. when are turrets gonna get 1. stabilization, and 2. actually lock the base to the vehicle its on. its nearly impossible to aim at anything while its moving if the ground is anything but flat and smooth, and when the vehicle is angled, the base of the gun is not, so instead of altering where the gun can aim, the angle of the vehicle blocks much of the view and your arc of fire is severely limited.
I know this applies to the 7m, but I figure its the same for the m2.
if the devs don't want the 7m and m2 humvees to just camp then stabilisation is needed
applies to the tank too.
acutally basically any turret in the game that isn't a primary weapon used by the driver.... so all of them except tank gun and APC gun.
The .50 cal is currently extremely underwhelming almost to the point of uselessness, please give it some more function.
It's a big fat slow-firing heavy hitter that currently does very mediocre damage compared to the risk it puts you at.
Let the mounted .50 punch through brick walls (like pick) and put FEAR into chopper pilots, this would actually give it some usability rather than just being a coffin.
The TV gun is very good and is a threat to infantry, leave as is
stabilization plz. also yeah, .50 cal should do more wall damage than it currently does. more accuracy would also make it work well since its only on a light vehicle, and very susceptible to damage from any and all sources.
im pretty sure it can already destroy walls or atleast some props
I don't think it can punch through walls
It can, with several bullets per
would be really nice to see the ammo count tho before wasting it on walls lol
Let me rephrase, I don't think it's effective at punching through walls and killing what's on the other side
its not, in the slightest
unless the walls taken some damage, it will take close to half of your ammo to even break it(and make a small hole)
the various non-building walls/fences take far less however
Add the driver / gunner seat locks already so I can use the 7m in peace without some bozos hopping in and driving me into the nearest pool / 40 ppl
Bug - Humvee doing wheelies on a collision with another vehicle. Also.. We could maybe have 0 collision till we're out of spawn area (like racing games) would fix most of the crashes at gamestart.
