An old game combat arms had a really really fun infection mode. Zombies were tanky but could be stopped by bullets and near the end of the match these safe rooms would open and you can hide in them and lock it. But sometimes an infected would kill someone through a window or get inside somehow

I know in one game they had a zombie mode and it was like a convoy mode and it would take like 30-40 minutes to get across the map and when you died you became a zombie. this kind of set up would be really cool in a night map with no nv where you need to use flashlights to see.
zombies could even get there own special classes that kinda match the classes in game
assault zombie would just be and average moving and average damage zombie
medic zombie would be a bit faster with less damage and will be the only zombie able to revive zombies
support would a really slow, tank of a zombie that does high damage
engineer would be a zombie that goes a bit slower then assault and instead of normal attacks it blows up
ranger zombie could have normal speed and low health but have some sort of slow projectile
could be a cool Halloween even that gives some sort of bonus exp as well

Is this going to be the infection mode from CoD basically? Where 1 person spawns as the infected, in BBR's case with a hammer, and if they kill someone they become infected etc, I think this would be amazing to have, reminds me of Zombie Forces, and how that was very fun, but I think for 254 just to be fair, should spawn 5-10 zombies at the start instead of just 1, cause imagine trying to hammer someone while 253 people beam you down

player amount needs to be adjusted aswell
by design, zombies have significantly higher health than humans and difficult to deal with just one person - having equal amounts of humans and zombies just makes it difficult to coordinate against a horde
so for example instead of 4v4, maybe it could be adjusted to 5v3 or 6v2 in favor of humans
zombie health also needs to be balanced so its scaled to the amount of humans left
