I think the damage is a little too high for its rate of fire and accuracy. Really its only downside is its reload speed. Personally I think it would make sense to swap its damage with the ump.
I honestly from my playtime don't see many MP5 users all around. I think the gun is in a pretty decent spot overall. I don't have any negatives to speak on the weapon. I think overall it is a pretty balanced smg and the reload speed balances it.
i feel like 29 damage is too much for its rof too probably needs to shave off 3 or 4 damage. you can laser this gun upto 150m with proper attachment but didnt say fast kill ok. i think it needs the vector nerf on damage drop off but also other smgs need that damage drop off nerf too.
(3000 kills) Using the MP5 is like pointing a laser beam at your enemies. It has extremely low recoil and is very easy to control and does decent damage. The low velocity of 400 means it’s very hard to beam players running 50m+ away horisontally. I would say it’s strong, but not broken and would recommend everyone trying it for atleast 100 kills.
I have played it with with at least 150+ kills. I find it very strong (not broken), very easy to use up until longer ranges (low velocity).
Damage is little too high (on med ranges), 25 minimum would make it a great overall SMG.
Its strong, but I don't think it warrants a nerf. Its powerful within its intended range, and not much outside of it. The positives of using are balanced by the long reload speed imo.

Agreed strong gun but I don’t think it needs a nerf.
It's AR damage but with smg recoil.
Compared to high powered riffles and such, the kickback and recoila re very fair given that this gun in the real world is a masterpiece of engineering. It's very similar to it, it's not a LONG range but it for sure doesn't need damaging (nerfing) like the vector did that literally turned it into a pea shooter unless your playing around doors.
Strong but not broken. It's kinda balanced by its reload speed and bullet velocity.
You really feel the damage drop off with this weapon, it is beat by Assault Rifles and that feels correct.
This gun is a better rifle than majority of the rifles. SMGS need less damage and more horizontal recoil in general.
Like other SMGs, lower the damage falloff distance similar to the Kris and this will be fine
well i think people lost to mp5 at distance before when like people dont have self heals so i kinda understand that. tho mp5 can laser upto 150m with proper zeroing and attachment but you can feelthe damage fall off
im saying if u give each player all the same variables except for the gun and they lose then they are just worse at aiming 
Animation bug:
Character pulls the charging handle back when the mag is not empty, this increases the reload time quite a bit
is that even a bug or is it really how mp5 works tho?
Change the god awful suppressed sound, otherwise good gun

Also make the long suppressor the mp5sd variant 🙏
Probably the best smg, even before vector nerf. I think it's currently in need of no changes, it's small mag size is a good drawback for how strong it is. Imo it's best all around SMG
MP5 is decent, its strong but doesn't feel OP
After reaching rank rank 120, trying to play all the guns that I got until that point, I can definitely say that the MP5 is by far the most overpowered gun in the game. It is a laser beam and it doesn't really care too much about engagement ranges. With the MP5 I was able to win almost all 1 on 1 engagements at any range even sometimes just spraying down snipers because it is just that accurate. That should not be possible, it needs a demage drop off nerf similar to the vector in my opinion. Definitely overpowered compared to all the other guns.
define any range
Maybe that was worded wrong. Any range that 98% of engagements happen at with a weapon that isnt a sniper rifle. So somewhere at 0-200m
Same issue most other SMG's have besides the Vector: I shouldn't be able to put a med scope on this and kill people at 100-125 meters. It's not THE BEST at this range but the fact I can consistently do it, on an SMG, shouldn't be a thing.
i can guarantee you cant spray on beyond 150m
yeah its not the best damage at that distance but it can beam
Used Mp5 and P90 a lot last night, and man is this gun busted and in my opinon better than p90.
with this loadout
tact barrel, vert grip, quick mag
it has a vert of 0.68 and horizontal of 0.73
it feels like all the bullets land near where i'm aiming at, so it's a literal laser beam of death with 29 damage and 800 rpm
this gun is stupid
you should try it with silencer and no one will hear you beam them
I put down the Mp5 after maxing it, it puts me in too high of an advantage to be fun for me

for what it is it's overranged.
just went to test the mp5 damage drop off in shooting range. seems it starts doing poor damage after 40m 😢. From 50-70m, it takes 5 bullets for 100hp. then 1 bullet per 10m afterwards

Damage at 70m: MP5 (20.6) , UMP(25.1), Honey Badger (24.1).
Damage at 90m: MP5 (15.2) , UMP(18.5), Honey Badger (18.9).
the mp5 doesn't magically improve my kill:death ratio. but boy does it make the kills come in fast. running out of bullets quickly is even less of a problem now after the new support changes
Increase MP5 dmg drop off start from 20 to 35-40m.
If MP5 had the 50mag it would be awesome

ngl I think damage dropoff on mp5 is too heavy.
it never felt very OP, just nice and smooth to use. I still routinely lost gunfights against various weapons. I don't know why they took away its mid range niche. (its my most used weapon)

Vector still very effective at its role in hallways and rooms. I died instantly when I came across one like on the wine map.
considering how it has little to no recoil, i think it's only fair that it takes another shot or two to kill enemies further out
Weapon is overall okay, but a slightly faster reload would be very well welcomed, like .2 or .3s faster.
Also the animation on the charging handle could be a little less gentle lmao

my honest feedback is that a 9mm SMG should not be outranging, and out damaging an F2000 or any AR for that matter, at close range yes i get the quick TTK but i should not be getting lasered from 50m away by some moron using an Mp5
the gun was DESIGNED to deliver a volley of round at targets 25yard away which equates to 20m
in no world should it be outfiring anyone at 50m

Just saying, it's pretty much standard on all models, however the MP5/10 is discontinued now due to problems, and that's the only variant of the MP5 I know that only had Single and Automatic fire selection.

I think the quick mag attachment should be remodeled to look like the straight mags
I don’t think the mp5 needs any nerfs, a battle rifle or assault rifle is still gonna beat this at long range.
This fits it’s niche very nicely and feels very good to use, I just think it needs some work on the non statistic related stuff like model and animations
Putting a short suppressor on the mp5 should change the model to that of an mp5sd
And add burst as another guy said
