No issues with it, the fire rate and ammo is enough to make the weapon pretty strong. Think it overall has "character" and is a great smg for those who want to run and gun.

Yep, probably most 'vanilla' of the smgs, except for the 4 second reload time which can feel long at times. Quick mag alleviates that somewhat.
I do suspect starting damage falloff ranges for all smgs will be tuned down? In that case I'd shorten the reload time so the mp7 will lean even more into a cqc roll.
the only thing i have to say about it is to possibly give it the same range reduction as the vector (tbh i think all smgs need it except the ump and the mp5 because they seem like they should have a higher range out of all the smgs)
Hit this thing's range with a brick, it's pretty consistent at ranges I expect the UMP to win MORE.
I would like to see the 40 round extended magazine for the MP7 added to the game

That doesn't answer my question.
The rifle-like cartridge the MP7 fires should put it in the same category as the P90 and the other PDWs in game.
It's for penetrating Body Armor.
It's classification within the game doesn't affect anything. I understand why they have it listed as an SMG, as it's pistol design falls under the characteristics of the SMG's. Amor penetration isn't done by the gun, only by the ammo type used.

yeah, the damage fall off should really start at 20m. makes no sense that mp5 is 20m but mp7 is 40m
Well the mp5 is a literal laser beam while the mp7 has a slight bit of recoil to it, not only that but all smg ranges shouldn't be the exact same
also irl the mp7s caliber has s much higher velocity than 9x19 which is what the mp5 of chambered in
nerf it, idk why it's still as it was after the "SMG rework"
damage fall off nerf is a must. it should be 20m like every other smg barring the PP19 and kriss
