I think the fire rate is fine, the problem is the shots just don’t have much of an effect.

^ 350 to 400 rpm is the range where most players cap out for semi auto weapon without using auto clickers.

Insert squeaky noise gun firing Was excited to see Marksmen Rifles, was heavily disappointed with how many hit markers I was receiving with it. Fire rate to me seems okay for the time I used it, but overall the worst DMR.

this gun really needs more ammo in the mag and it needs less vertical recoil. It really should just be a semi-auto locked version of the SCAR-H

I feel like there should be a feedback channel just for the whole DMR class I'm just gonna use this one tho to put what i think of them as a whole

All the DMRs are really lame and are really just worse assault rifles the only real exception is the M110 when you get the heavy or long barrel. They really all need a similar treatment.

-lower first shot kick
-more velocity matching up to that of a bolt actions so its actually useful at the ranges its being used at
-possibly some unique stat about it that makes it more useful then an assault rifle like maybe more damage to body armor and light vehicle armor, a higher head shot mult, or even making it where they have a similar damage increase over distance like the bolt actions possibly making all of them 2 shot body or 1 shot head after 500m (they are supposed to be for long ranges like the bolt actions)

DMR's can be fixed by increasing velocity/accuracy. IMHO.

what also needs to be added is an input buffer system (to all semi automatic weapons)

currently if u try to spam left click as humanly possible, some shots wont register because ur firing faster than the max RoF

adding the input buffer makes spamming left click more consistent and reliable (especially for DMRs and pistols)

MK20:
I’d like to see the MK20 occupy a niche of suppressing fire/high volume of fire at longer range. To that effect, here are some potential changes.
-Increase headshot modifier to 1.6x
-Increase base damage to 49.0 (78.4 head)
-Increase damage with long barrel to ~51
-Increase base magazine to 20
-Increase rate of fire to ~350rpm
-Decrease vertical recoil ~10-20%
Effects of changes and thought process:
The Mk20 in this scenario steps into the damage and rate of fire profile the M110 occupies currently.
The headshot modifier is 1.6x instead of 1.7x to prevent getting “assist counts as kill” every time a headshot lands.
Base magazine is increased to increase the effectiveness of rapid fire
Equipping long barrel will allow the gun to kill with 2 shots to the body, BUT will come at the cost of significantly increased recoil, weakening the biggest strength of the gun (the ability to rapidly land many shots in a small area).

after getting 350 kills on this, here are my thoughts:

  • Absolute trash gun , downgrade from M110 and out DPSed by secondaries (Glock 18 and MP443)
  • Long range capability hampered by low damage potential (No options to achieving a 2 shot unlike the M110) and high vertical recoil means landing fast consecutive shots at long ranges not possible.
  • Sub 100 accuracy means you can actually miss shots even when you are on target. For a percision weapon, this is cracked.

The Mk20 is a ton of fun now. Actually just a straight upgrade from the SCAR in terms of being a DMR (which it should be, since that's how it is IRL lol)
