User Report functionality could invite targeted harassment

The list of user reports is certainly interesting in that you can see how many times someone has been reported, but having who reported people could cause some more problems for people down the line. If someone is being disrespectful, harassing people, etc, then the person being reported can easily see who reported them and can just target those people more. They can also then click on those peoples names in the list and go to their steam profile and follow them through that.

Some people may be turned away from reporting because they don't want that risk, and it would be a bit safer for people to report if who reported them isn't made public (but can still be kept for admins and what not)

There are different levels of disrespectful. Lets say racist, outright intolerant, sexist. Enough to warrant reporting. Whatever it is, if you happen to report someone extremely toxic, they are going to know about it, and that itself is the problem. You want to report and just leave it at that, not report and possibly have that person harass you more for trying to get them banned

This could be a problem but only if BBR has bad actors and even if there are bad actors they would get reported and banned no?

Every game has bad actors. Right now the public report function makes it easier for them to find out who is reporting them. It also makes it very easy to find out that persons steam account by clicking them in the player list. They would get banned, but not before they can find out a bit more about you. Honestly, what is the benefit of showing who reported who?

I doubt anybody is going to get swatted because they reported someone for being toxic on BBR but I see your point that the Names of reporting users is not necessary

Id hope it wouldn't be THAT bad, but the internet being the internet... Some people are terrifying. I'm all for showing the reports, thats cool. Just not WHO reported.

I know some people get a chuckle out of seeing the list of reports stack against them just because they are good at the game, that im all for.

Its disheartening to get counter reported by bad actors you report. and you basically get this perma mark on your profile for no reason. even if you dont get banned, you loose all goodwill when people see that on your profile.

So far the worst I've seen is players getting reported for legit kills because someone got butt hurt over being killed
