I agree with everything except footsteps
That would be too much noise pollution
The wrong kind of noise pollution
that's an extremely valuable information
more valuable than gunshots in most cases
I mean sure but imagine how grinding the noise would be
This isn’t a competitive game
Don’t treat it as such
- Check corners
- Listen for gunshots
- Use VOIP to your advantage
That’s it
competitiveness is a point of any game that has winners and losers
Footsteps are not the only way to detect enemies
A reliance on such a small noise in a warzone is ridiculous
the most vital one since human reaction to sounds is the fastest
It’s not valorant or csgo with how much chaos is around the sound of footsteps would be the last thing you hear
what
Are you telling me, in all honesty, you can hear footsteps in the midst of gunfire?
well, it's proven that humans react to sounds much faster than to other senses
I can since I turned my volume up enough to be able to hear it and all the other sounds hurt my ears now
nope, footstep audio is crucial and will always be a major complaint if it's not on point
I agree on the weapon unlocking, there is so much variation but only very late in the lvls
🧌
Dude everyone agrees
go back to tarkov
iirc, they said they'll fix progression soon, possibly today
tarkov turned into a slow unskilled boredom fest
Sounds like you’re trying to turn this game into a sweatfest, cod style competitively viable shooter
I dislike your idea of footsteps
simple as that
Agree with the first one, disagree with second
Killcam makes snipers and stationary gunners useless.
Why bitter looking for a good sniper position, when your enemy can easily find out after the first kill?
no, I'm just trying to hear the footsteps and turning them up a bit won't cause a tragedy
oh yknow what I never even considered this
because hackers are a much bigger problem than that
That's what happened with me in BF3/4.
I like running around, looking for a cool position. But with killcam? It's pretty useless
ok
I think match replays are the solution
for sure
I had one, triple headshot, was first and guess last time, lol
hmm maybe if when you die you can bookmark that death for review
in the match replay
That would make it easier to access the cheater moment
Actually, a good idea. Leave marks or something, for easier search
my point will killcam was, sometimes it helps you spot a hacker even if the death itself wasn't suspicious
Yeah but instead of that you can bookmark that moment so you can go back to the replay afterwards
just accidentally seeing them locking through walls
So you don’t get a bunch of info about someone sniping or smthin
The footsteps part should be how it is.
I’d rather not be in prone 98% while near an enemy because moving so slow means more chance of the person to wander away.
Also since running is the primary part of movement so I’d prefer not having what feels like your ears relocated to in between your feet 24/7.
absolutely agree
so maybe just add an additional slider for them so whoever wants them to be louder can do so?
for your point 5 OP, you can call a supply drop and refill your ammo. for example if you just entered a building that you are likely gonna try to defend. Just call it as you enter so you can refill when ur low after some fights,
Btw, with leveling you can unlock more armor pieces, which allows you to carry more ammo.
Just saying
at lvl 140, great
Well, it was way earlier during playtest.
Now it's all crappy
I got only to 45-ish rank or something during the tests, and noticed I had them.
first set of new backpacks and vests unlocks on rank 20 now does it not?
after searcing for it in the shooting range:
+2 prim Mags on LvL 20 for Support (max 5 mags)
+4 prim Mags on LvL 30 for Recon (max 6 mags)
+1 prim Mag on LvL 24 for Engineer (max 5 mags)
+2 prim Mags on LvL 75 for Medic (max 6 mags)
Assault alreday starts with maximum amount of 5 magazines but can carry his own small ammo boxes
Leader also starts with max 4 mags but has no ammo boxes
- after 5 hours got to lvl 20 or so, that feels okay.
- You can spectate. So if someone is sus watch them
- Footsteps are fine, there's already noise overload and unless you're in an absolute mass of players and chaos, I personally don't find footsteps to be too quiet and think you shouldn't hear them if you're in a somewhat large fight
- there are infantry only modes, low vehicles and small maps.
- You unlock gear to carry more ammo, two classes can drop ammo boxes and you can call supply crates. (or just respawn)
most of those reduce your armor, others will take 100+ hours to unlock
yes they do but often times i die regardless of having armor or not because the enemy sees me from the side and gets enough hints into my head / torso that the armor is gone
and after that i tend to lose the 1 on 1 fight against AKs or MP7s
downside of heavy armor is slow ADS speed which kills me more often then i initially thought it would because of all the bullets that lose the accuracy while going from hipfire to the ADS state
