could it be made to work so that it has limited range, and you can communicate with anyone else on your team who has a radio within, say, a 500m radius? if this were an item it would come at the cost of taking up a secondary item slot or could be reserved specifically for the recon role so they could inform other squads of incoming enemies...
just an incomplete idea i think would be cool to see thought out and addressed more thoroughly

This post gave me a cool idea. What if you could pick up enemy radios so you can listen in to squad comms? Not sure how this would work, but using your idea makes it a lot more possible.
Good idea, but VC already fixes this mostly because we got Surrounding VC (like people near each other), Squad VC, and Leader VC. Not sure what adding radios would do, unless you wanna slap one down and play Free Bird.
