After a discussion in Klean's chat, multiple people informed me that Mouse Acceleration would be bannable, which leads me to believe TimerResolution would be bannable as well.
These third party software are allowed and legal for play in most titles, including sanctioned events and tournaments (LAN included).
The concepts I'm bringing up don't provide a competitve advantage. Modern Mouse Acceleration implementations, ie. windows, are horrible and clunky. It would be a SEVERE disadvantage to be forced to use these mainstream implementations.
For more info on timerresolution, it is a piece of software that changes your system clock (which you could do manually). It helps remove input latency added in by your monitor, which is once again allowed in multiple competitive environments. "
I would love to discuss more with any dev who reads this!
Games I KNOW allow this include, Valorant, Call of Duty, Fortnite, and Overwatch. There are more as well that I am less familiar with.
