When i first started in the playtest it felt really good since i would play with a gun and unlock the next. I think it was too short but this new system is wayyyy to harsh and grindy. I've heard that it is 2.6 times harder to unlock new weapons. **The new guns are locked behind level 145 which will take me 841 minutes to unlock with a 2.8 kpm **(yea I did the math) Oki i love this too much so i hope you read enough of these.

which mode you play to get a 2.8kpm ? i usually play 64v64 and most of my time spent is running

so 14 hours for lvl 145? that doesnt seem unreasonable..
levels get harder the higher you are. 14 hours for the same amount of xp it takes for lvl 15

Battlefield 4 had a system like this, where you only unlocked weapons based on the weapon type you used.
To unlock new assault rifles you have to use assault rifles, Snipers for Snipers. Handguns for handguns.
I shouldnt be able to c4 spam and level up to get weapons and never touch a weapon nor should I have to do that if I want to unlock the desert eagle.
Alot of people want arbitrary progression so they dont get bored of the game, I prefer meaningful connected progression instead of ranking up for the sake of it.
Another alternative, would be something LIke tokens, this way people cant complain about balance, level 100+ have huge advantages due to weapon choices for instance.
Upon leveling up you get one token and it can unlock anything, Each level lets you unlock one thing, this way i never have any uneeded items, if i never want to unlock snipers I never techinically have to.

yeah i also thought about tokens but i think the problem is 1) the game is already out and thats kind of a thing you'f want to sort in testing and 2) oki probably worries that if people just immediately unlock the weapons they like most with their tokens theres less incentive to keep playing

it shouldnt take forever to unlock the specific gun you want but it shouldnt be a freebie either
Games should be able to keep your attention without needing progression walls, the gameplay should be fun by itself
What is currently implemented is much worse, they took all the guns people loved to use, then put them at the very end of the line, whether they were better than others or not
in practice it just doesnt pan out like that. make all the guns free in every shooter and people will play less. period
Nobody is saying free, But other games have done the token system and didnt just die out
People like to experiment and see what they like, they cant do that if the guns are locked behind weeks of grinding
oh yeah i totally agree, i personally would love it. but i understand why its probably not gonna happen
there are better altternatives, I think b4s system makes the most sense in this game in terms of fair and balanced
that way if i want a specific thing theres atleast criteria to meet specific to what i want

With handguns, snipers, smgs, i have to change my playstyle
In this current system, i can use the same gun start to finish and unlock everything , doesnt even have to be a gun, can just be a medic or rpg man

Literally no one is going to prestige in this game. I can promise you that. The only people that will, will be the folks that don't understand what prestiging means.
No reasonable person is going to say "Yeah sure, I'll do that 130 hour grind again, no problem".
The only acceptable way they can make prestiging desirable is if they leave everything unlocked. So basically not make it a prestige system.

Sadly you're probably right, and it's maddening. Most of the weapons being higher level unlocked wouldn't be an issue if there were MORE WEAPONS between then. As a new player who is level 25, and gets at minimum 2 level progression each day, looking at most of the guns being level 90+ turns me off completely from wanting to play.
I have no issue grinding for attachments, but grinding for gun variety is stupid. I love this game, but I don't want to be stuck with the same 3 guns for 100+ hours.
It legitimately feels like the devs are
- Rewarding the people without a life who can afford to spend 5+ hours a day playing.
and
- Rewarding the good players who go positive each game, while shitting on lesser skilled players.
That's exactly what it is
In addition, developers do not look at channels like feedback and do something only if some streamer says
But I don't understand why it was necessary to remove the progression system from the playtest and replace it with the shit that we have now

I would like to have challenges for weapons, game modes for xp. Daily/ weekly quests would be nice for xp as well.
130? The max level grind takes 335 hours at 1000 xp/min

I agree with that aspect and would love to see something added to some degree. After hitting level 100 not to long ago I wish I got to use more of the assault rifles and have been sad when I finally unlock them and they don't compare to what I am already using. Would love to see some kind of progression as player uses this weapon then earns more weapons down the line.
I don't know where I can post my feedback so I am putting it here, I dont know if it would be a good idea but maybe there should be a small XP gain when you unlock attachments for guns. It does not have to be crazy but I find myself using the same guns so I can progress faster as I have no real need to try different guns if I am getting less XP via kills. This thread is really good with a heap of good suggestions so I hope the devs see it

Yes please decrease when guns are unlocked. From the moment I started playing I was excited to unlock the AS-VAL and mostly played to get to Rank 105 and it took me around 70 hours with a 0.9 KPM. And I wanna say most of the casual player base has less than a 1 KPM.
