What's with this bleeding? You bleed even if a gust of wind blows by. This mechanic gotta go. Get rid of the bandages and give medics chest paddles off rip. I spend more time bandaging myself than I do playing thanks to this.

Refunded after 18 mins. Will come back if this changes

#

18 minutes, what did you get into 3 gunfights?

thorn spindle
#

I had to bandage more than the amount of gunfights I was in

#

But that too, battle pacing is pretty bad. I've gone back and forth against enemy flags and would never see an enemy in over 5 minutes

#

ie, that was my experience in playtest

I played the playtest for around 8 hours this weekend

#

The bleeding is the worst part of the game. I can deal with everything else

Just take cover and don't expose yourself too much

#

Not the devs problem if you're being shot all the time lmao

light wedge
#

My point is the bandaging takes way too long, and its caused way too much

#

they need to tone it down

#

not necessarily remove it

lofty gyro
#

It takes ~5 seconds to bandage, even less if you're a medic

#

And, what I've already said before

#

I haven't met any player who complained about the bleeding mechanic in almost 3-4 months of playtesting

The guy that made this thread even said he only played for 18 minutes, he most probably didn't even finish a match and ended up with a 0/18 k/d

what are you even on about?????

I literally just gave 3 arguments on why this idea is simply dumb

and your response is to call me desperate

horrible mechanic, bogs down the game

I think the bandaging mechanic is also a very bad mechanic

for me, i like the bleeding mechanic. though i do agree it might be a bit too long. i play medic and its fine for me. though as other clases, taking longer definitely would feel a bit annoying. i think the complaint is just coming from someone whos never had to deal with more healing mechanics other than just an HP heal

#

maybe im just used to it and numb from my hudreds of hours of tarkov?

My main complaint is that i feel forced to play medic because of the mechanic

#

I also feel very vulnerable when bandaging ( my gun is not up )

The only thing I'd change with bleeding is just toning down how often it happens a tiny bit. Like 10 or 15%.

Bandaging is designed to prevent you from healing constantly and actually slow down.

#

In Battlefield games, someone has a medkit and they constantly heal players even while shot. Sometimes there's a nerf that paused healing after being hit, but it doesn't really address the issue.

#

Now in Battlebit, getting one or two hits in a player is enough to either slow them down going after the objective or push them back to address the wound.

#

Which means if you can push effectively, getting some shots in can ensure you flush them out instead of them actively healing all the time while being able to counter.

#

Tldr it prevents standstills and ease of healing.

Getting bled means you out got outgunned or out positioned

I don't think bandage needs to go, but I do think that you only have a very short time to bandage up + it seems most shots will make you bandage instead.

arctic flame
#

I think it'd be better if the bandages didnt kill you, but just made it so you couldn't heal.

#

The bandaging system works great as a deterence over playing like an obtuse arcade shooter focused on overly close CQB, but it can be annoying to die from bleeding alot

blazing lava
#

I'm sorry ?

#

I don't understand your first point ?

arctic flame
#

You know, like you'd need to be bandaged first because you could heal from a medic box or something

blazing lava
#

Oh as a temporary buffer

arctic flame
#

I should say Im very tired so I might be stupid

#

Yeah

blazing lava
#

Until a medic can get to you ?

#

Yeah I get you

#

I think that would cause more people to die more often with how often the bandage mechanics come into play

#

I have to use the bandage system at least 1 to 2 times per life so having it as a buffer would mean I'm only ever going to use the bandages once before I die due to the low health.

#

Besides medics dont tend to heal you due to having to take out the medic kit out and same goes for revives . Although thinking about it now. It would force people to play more like a medic ( which in insight is not a bad thing )

arctic flame
#

I mean I already play heavily like a medic

#

it's rare for me to get kills as med because I just stick myself into the dirt and hold down right click to heal my team lmao

blazing lava
#

That's the issue , more people want to get kills than healing. I mean no offence by it but you are very much in the minority. one that I support but a minority nonetheless

arctic flame
#

It is a shooter game so I kinda cant blame them. I think the issue might be that the communication could do with some work

#

like maybe adding a "medic!" button would be nice. Just a visual little stimuli to show a medic in combat "hey this guy wants healing"

blazing lava
#

Mhmm that's true, I'd prefer a system just like the ammo boxes where medkits could be thrown on the ground but I read somewhere around that they didn't do because it becomes to easy to heal. Unsure tho

arctic flame
#

They can be

#

I forget the key for it but you can toss em down and players can heal off it

#

But you only get two per life so that's somewhat discouraging to throw em

blazing lava
#

Oh you can ?

#

Well in that case I think the issue is that it isn't promoted enough in the game

#

I would much prefer throwing down 2 healing bags over sitting there touching people all fight

#

Starship did that, you can have 2 deployable healing station or ammo station. once you're out that's it. I don't think that's a bad thing. I have to look at my keybinds now

#

So the button is X and it looks like you can only have one ?

#

You also can't pick it back up because it clashes with your weapon firemode xD

fathom marsh
#

the box can be thrown but people have to manually interact with it to heal

tulip pendant
fathom marsh
#

no, sadly, i know some people dont want this game to be a BF clone but i do think dropping a box and having a AOE heal would help. as well as actually having a HP bar somewhere in the HUD would help people understand if they need healing

#

as a medic main myself i always have to VOIP and tell people i wanna heal them

tulip pendant
fathom marsh
#

yeah, it just kinda comes with how the game is and why in BFV they did the AOE med bag

#

i think they should do it for support for sure

#

not enough people play it

blazing lava
#

If people have to manually interact that's not a problem

#

It forces interaction which is good and it doesn't focus on the medic to purely just stand there and heal people

#

He can throw a box down and also carry on shooting
