FaceIt anticheat does not support linux. It is an issue I have with CSGO faceit too. While it may seem insignificant, some of us play on linux and really appreciated the support for it. That dies when FaceIt is added, because they do not care. Easy Anticheat, Battleye, and even VAc all support Linux. I wish you could have gone a route which didn't mean killing off some of your userbase 😦

The only thing that works better on windows is certain games, but on most games I even get an fps boost on linux

Good for you, I have stability issues on there. I like not having to restart my PC to update it. I like every application being from a package manager so I never have to worry about viruses. I like the FPS boost when I play games, and I like the community because those who choose linux made an active choice, unlike windows users who don't care, meaning the community is a lot nicer, and so on. This thread in general turned to people shitting on my choice of OS instead of addressing my issue, with the exception of those who mentioned community servers

I never caught a bug? I just stated the fact that once FaceIt is introduced, I will no longer be allowed to join servers. So far my experience on BattleBit on linux has been nothing but enjoyable

The only real issue here is that FaceIt might be too aggro even on Windows.

I have to fucking benchmark if mem. integ. fucks over my performance too much to be worth it for this game alone.

But Linux is too niche for gaming to be relevant in terms of revenue.

Plus, you always knew it wasn't an officially supported OS, yet EAC remains so you can actually still play on community servers.

We get it, Windows IS a piece of trash and I wish Bill Gates was never born, but that doesn't fix the inherent issue that the masses simply use it and won't leave it, so we're stuck with it for the majority of applications.

I initially went with a 5700 XT in hopes I'd go Linux.

But I ended up sticking with Windows.

Both Nvidia and AMD were buggy anyway.
