#HE damage on IFV is questionable

An AP on a tank's side armor deals 20 HP. An HE on the same area deals 15 HP. So around HE has about 75% of the potential damage on armored vehicles. An AP on an IFV deals 40 HP, but an HE only does 18 HP. Why? Should be at least 32.

The question is why HE even does so much dmg to armor. It's not HESH specially designed to do it. HE should be doing much less dmg to armor.

I think people simply have the mentality that APFSDS = Good on armor only and HEAT = Good on infantry only. While the reality is APFSDS = Good for armor only and HEAT = Good for both.

my point is that if HE did 75% of AP damage on tanks. It should do the same on IFV too

No man, HE should at most do 40% to Tanks. And the same to IFV

that's for sure, but HESH out of smoothbore doesn't make much sense so my next best guess is HEAT, which if do good damage against tanks should do the same against IFVs as well

So you want to make the worst vehicle in the game even worse? OK

what?

IFVs need other buff, not HP buff

yes, but making HE shells deal more dmg to IFV will nerf it, slightly

we only have btr and lavs in game big calibar HE rounds will break the armor and kill crew inside even more if the HE round has delayed action fuse

the 15 damage is to little if you ask me AP rounds overpenetrate light vehicles like those we have and dont do much damage while HE or HEAT rounds will wreck your day up
