I feel like tanks shouldn't be able to shoot so far, in every large map there is always a tank that's like 1km away that snipes you and you can't do anything about it really. The only option against tanks is RPGs but the powerful ones have terrible range, which makes it impossible to take the tank down before it takes you down. There are no ways right now to destroy these sniping tanks, you just have to throw enough bodies at it until some get there with RPGs and finally destroy it (just to have it respawn and start all over again), it just not fun 😦

One thing to do could be have the tanks have way less shells so they have to be used sparingly, or if we want to be more realistic then make them have terrible traversal capabilities.

Vehicles are supposed to be strong and oppressive. And they’re neither of that right now. They cant take a beating so they’re forced to play in the backlines more.

They should be strong at long ranges as well. Its kinda odd that the coax turret of the main tank driver is super accurate compared to the support turret, but they should be precise, thats fine, its very easy to hide and avoid tank sightlines.

Id agree with nerfing the main coax turret if they made tanks and ifvs more durable.

They should be able to spearhead into a stronghold when throwing bodies is too difficult, but as it stands they just die as fast as a jeep to rockets that its not worth sending it in the frontlines

Honestly as a counter to OP, vehicles like tanks and helicopters are somewhat of a mini objective for the both teams. They should be very powerful to the point of borderline abuse(if you think that they are aldready abusing the power well it’s a skill issue)

They play far back becouse coming closer means that they are easily seen and literally shredded by Inf while having disadvantage in any manner you could think of. No place to manoeuvre, no place to hide and danger comming from possibly every direction. It's not like in BF4 where vehicles have tools do function in urban spaces (minimap, scanners, APS, unlimited ammo, health regen).

Makink 50/0 is hard, no matter the map, and really small amount of players can make this score. 30/2 in a tank or APC is much more common. And extremely often vehicle players will not be in first place in the team. They are easily outperformed by inf players.
Seeing a vehicle player in 1st spot on 127 conq is much rearer than seeing someone making 100/x as inf.

You can't play in the front with a tank unless you are playing against complete bots. At most you can play slightly in the back alongside some teammates.

In terms of the subject of the op, biggest problem with tanks is that they are way too easy to destroy at close-medium range so there is no reason to play close unless you want to die immediately.

funny because k/d seams to be the reason most infantry sprinters don't like vehicles. they are a variable they cant control. as it happens most people like to have a high k/d don't sit here and act like you would be elated to go 0/50 as long as there's no vehicles. infantry sprinters don't want to be taken out by something they feel doesn't have counter play. and vehicle babies don't feel like going out in the open with 127 enemies in what is essentially a box made of paper mache. so this is the balance we got, the vehicles are weak. so they back off and aren't as oppressive as they would normally be. however they still have enough power and accuracy to kill people. I don't know how anyone can justify how weak vehicles are in this game without having the bias of just not liking to be killed by them. they don't even come close to serving the function that they would normally serve at any capacity beyond having an explosive radius and being able to drive.

The reason people snipe with tanks is mainly DUE to people having extremely effective AT, as moving into RPG Tandem range = death 80% of the time

you mean to tell me someone who runs around with a rifle against other people running around with rifles and is at risk of dying at any time is somehow more concerned about their KD than someone who sits in a metal box entirely protected from small arms fire with a cannon that doesn't have to accurately hit someone from over a kilometer away with high explosive rounds and thus sits on a hill at the edge of the map with several levels of variable zoom with which they can then snipe infantry?

no tank need armor system a tandem shoudnt do damage if it hits frontal turret face its the stronges armored part on any modern MBT the fact that there are so many dudes with rpgs who dont need to aim just hit the tank somewhere to do damage is just to much tanks are so weak becuse of that i dont even want to imagine how fast tanks will die ones Nlaws javelin RPG-28 and more deadlier Anti tank weapon comes
