#Attachment kill requirement too low

I know we don't want to have to grind for attachments, and I think that's a great idea. However, I was overwhelmed with the number of attachments I got.

I think that the idea to lower attachments was just for beta testing

#

could be wrong tho

#

It will most definitely change

It's always either too grindy or too easy, there's always gonna be someone on either side.
I don't care either way. tbh

#

You don't need to care about the individual attachments. Check what you have the most issues with on a weapon and then just skim through the list to check the stats of each attachment.

#

Problem with horizontal recoil? Check which one lowers it the most. etc

I agree. I liked that some were lowered, such as the canted red dot, but I felt I unlocked a lot of attachments really quickly on weapons I rarely use.

Why tf i must grind for attachments? Playng with naked weapon almost imposible after some full ak. I just dont wanna kill 100 ppl just for some shitty upgrade that give my weapon 0.01% accuracy

You seem to contradict yourself in the same message. kittenThinking

Why grind for the attachments anyway? What's the point?
"Yeah, so we'll be dropping you into a warzone, but to get a scope you have to kill a hundred people. How you do it is not my concern"

# stray lily why should I go through grind just because you get overwhelmed? attachment modif...

Because its too low currently.
Let me put it this way, I had the FLIR scope on my MP5 before 100 kills.
It was too high before, and its too low now.

What yall fail to see is that if you just unlock everything for a gun instantly, it shortens the amount of time when a players reason for playing is to unlock the attachments. Which cuts back on logins of players who just want to unlock every attachments. It also cuts into the players sense of personal achievement and progression. You feel less proud of unlocking the "end game" attachments, more like "it takes so little to unlock it all, they might as well unlock everything for everyone right now".
But if the grind is too long, players are discouraged from using other weapons and over time a reason for leaving the game is "the grind".

There needs to be a middle ground, one that makes the player feel good about unlocking something, but not one that players look at and turn away from.

I wish people would not care about grind and artificial progression, instead just enjoy the gameplay. kittenCry

You feel less proud of unlocking the "end game" attachments
no I don't, I don't need a carrot on stick to stimulate grind/reward cycle the way most f2p games do

The rate you unlock them at, I'm just not sure WHY we even have to unlock them in the first place.

Unlocking things is a way to either string players on with progression, or introduce them to mechanics/strategies in the game slowly. Having fast unlocks does both poorly.

Generally, you want to try new things, because they're new, but in Battlebit, the chaos and variety in a game can make it hard to try things properly. Then, you're presented with even more new things, before you've had a chance to try everything else you just unlocked.

Maybe it's less stressful if you have more time to play, but I can't play for most of the tests, so I have that added time pressure. The game is really great.

It's just a modern mindset.

#

The average Joe likes artificial goals very much.
(Steam) achievements are similar.

#

It's no big deal in context to the tests.
All progress will be gone in the next 2 months.

#

Expect lots of rebalance during EA.

I personally like relatively low attachment unlocks... skins are what i like a long grind for, not usability.

generally speaking. being awarded stuff in general causes dopamine to be set free in our brain in some degree. that is just how our reward based brain works.

For a Game, that's only Playable once a Week for 6hours, the Current Kills you need to make is fine.

When the Game releases, it would need change tho, since you could play 24/7 and the "Grind" is less noticable, because you can play longer and whenever.

You need to have a Progression that rewards you, but also is not a Pain to make People play your Game longer.

But i am not sure how exactly we could achive that.

Pretty sure the current kill requirements were lowered for the playtests and will be raised when the game releases

austere rain

You'd be wrong.

#

They were trivialized in favor of skin grind.

half the skins dont even look good because they dont encompass attachments or the barrel and stock in some cases
