When the area is controlled by my team 100% the marker is faint and I can hardly see it even when standing directly on said point. But when it belongs to the enemy its very apparent and intrusive to my ui. I would like a button to turn on/off map markers without hiding the entire UI. Also an option to change opacity of area markers to my preference.
So. I end up relying 100% on map for location/proximity to other points until I am rather familiar with map. Area markers are just an eye sore for the most part (this can include the number of player markers on a 'flat' map). Reaction to area contests seems non-existent on a first go because the enemy isnt looking they can hardly notice if they were actively looking. I feel like making these things more visually appealing so maps arent always swinging checkpoints like wives at bowling night can help the overall flow of gameplay. Also, the feature to turn off "area and/or player markers" so I can see whats in front of me
