Friend is a new gamer, made their account ~mid 2022, I convinced him to play, he saw the message, I asked for help and was told that he should buy the Patreon, so he did, and successfully connected his Patreon and Discord account, but there's no way to connect your Discord to the game, because it just shows the screen that your account is too young.

I understand what you want, but this is how we have it..
If your account is too young to get access, you get the 1st month of Patreon, be on this Discord, and ask a Moderator to whitelist your account, once you have the Patreon role.. Then you won't see that screen anymore.

Having the Patreon role here bypasses this requirement anyhow (that's how I did it). And no, normally you cannot select a role if you're being limited by this. But the Patreon role will be assigned to you anyhow.
Dunno if that's a code limitation, but Oki probably would save himself, or the mods, work if you could at least go as far as linking your account in-game, even if this restriction applies.
In any case, the current whitelisting process is this is manual. So yeah, you can do it, but a mod will have to do it manually. You're not supposed to do anything but the Patreon to Discord linking yourself, if your account is too young.
