in 128/254 player conquest it can be quite annoying to have one roof camper just block spawns on a flag for minutes. As as sidenote, I'm not sure if the "in combat" detection for spawning on teammates works correctly.

im for it but just normal spawn could cause problems with just holding a point forever.would like to see a system where you spawn farther away from a point if its contested (towards main spawn? non contested points?) also to add an approximate tracker to the amount of people on a point.

But the extreme of not allowing any spawn either feels too prohibitive

My idea is that there could be some internal counter for the degree of “contestedness”

And I would suggest prohibiting spawns then the flag is “heavily contested”, as in briskly flipping to the attacking team

A pal I play with had also an interesting idea - divide flags into rings, and allow spawning only on the outermost ring while it’s contested hard enough to be losing capture status

ring thing seems complicated to implement, not opposed to that though. and contested would mean a point your team holds and has majority currently on the point, if its flipping ofc you shouldnt be able to spawn.

I think you could spawn far away from point, or with like a long spawn delay, but the attackers should have at least some advantage when they're successfully flipping the point

yeah one guy blocking an entire teams spawn point just by hiding near it is a weird mechanic
