This started off good. Very good, but over the last three months the amount of iffy kills and beeing oneshot from across the map by a kriss vector has come to a level where im checking out of this game.

Too bad u took cheating as a thing u warn about but do nothihng about... this could have been something. Now its littered with russians and they ruin everything they touch.

Im in for eu gameplay. Not rus. Until this is separeted and CONTROLLED this isnt happening for me or the crew..

The report function is working as intended though.
If they receive enough reports, they'll be timed out and their account will be reviewed. If the mods find nothing that proves (or is suspicious enough), the account will be released, otherwise, if they do find proofs, they ban the account.

You could ask the guys and mods from ARA and overall east-europe (such as Perseus) to see if there are really these many cheaters, or if you just don't know how wide the skill gap in this game is

I personally have not encountered any blatant cheater so far, which does not mean there are no cheaters out there.

Haven't experienced any cheating either in the past months
Videos showcasing proof of rampant cheating would be nice in the future, especially if you're getting one-shot by a vector cross-map

There's been a few blatant aimbotters, but it's pretty rare still. Even on EU, which is usually infested with them.

i cant say that there are rampant cheating. but i can say that i have noticesed some very sus kills. especialy the most reasent playtest. me and my squad noticed some. we ddnt report. i will next time tho.

i have noticed form of knowing exactly were you are with no knowledge of you existence prior. coming in pre aimed at your exact spot.

what i have noticed are these funny one shot hit kills not with a sniper but with a AR, SMG maby 10-15 m away but it fels like the guy has his gun straigt to your head and al the bullets hit at the same time.

In my experience it takes 2 sometimes 3 HS

But hey it can be lag. client side or server side.

Next time i stumble on anything like this il report it.

I hope you do realize that 10 to 15m in this game are a lot closer than you think.

You could hipfire and still would hit on that distance.

And you have virtually no way to confirm if those were headshots either.
TTK is very low, so even just being shot to the body by a Val, you'll die in what feels like an instant.

sometime, with the ping or packet loss, we get instant kill from our PoV but from the ennemy, he really shot 5-6 bullets

There are 2 things that make it seem like you die instantly, those are SuperBullets and Packetloss. Packetloss is when your connection drops info and the server says your dead, and the next packets that didnt drop come through and make it seem like you are dead (its more complex than that, a lot more). SuperBullets are complex as well, but what happens is 2 or more bullets get lumped together because of update speeds and you see it as 1 bullet hit not 2 or more. So that makes the bullet 2x or greater in damage, leading to you feeling like it was 1 shot that killed you. Super bullets caused by packetloss are not the same as SuperBullets, SuperBullets exist when everything is correctly running.
But all of this aside, do you have any clear video proof to back this up? I am not saying you are not telling the truth, but I would love to see footage of them beaming you from distance to back it up, maybe clear some things up as well.

The servers run at 60Hz. Not a single weapon fires fast enough to even saturate that, let alone exceed it.

Package loss isn't even worth discussing because...I mean, it's obvious why that will never get "fixed".

After trying the vector last knight and feeling disgusting when i instakilled people over 30m away because of lucky headshots/hits, i understand that it can feel like cheating. Combined with the MS buff, making it so you can sprint around fast as fuck, instaburst someone, sprint out(or even better, parkour away) can seem really sus on the receiving end

Anyway, is there a reason why half of the players are playing with either vector or VAL?) The problem, as for me, is not in the cheaters, but in the guns themselves.

I do lose pretty much every encounter vs AR's when I go past 30 to 50m tho. As I should. kittenCry

Imho. These weapons are just monsters that can kill many at any distance. Even, a noob like me was able to do KD 2/1 with a regular vector without modifications.

Before that, I went with a regular SMG, and my KD was 1/3, KEKW kittenNerd

ASVAL has a 0.15 TTK out to 70m. From 80 up to 119m you have a TTK of 0.22, which is faster than ALL ARs except for AK74 Heavy (till 110m) and the FAL. It ties with the AK15 at those ranges. 120m+ you start losing more and more. This is the same with the HB, the Vector beats both guns at the 80m-99m, holding steady at 0.2 TTK. There are some ARs that beat the Vector (AK74+L/H, FAL, HK419+H) and tied with the FAMAS+H. Shockingly the MP7 is 0.01ms faster at 0.19ttk. But all that said, these weapons have a very long reach to them. They are flat out OP and cause trouble because of how easy they are to use, and the fact that there is 0 investment needed to make these weapons work at peak power. FAL for example at 0.18 is a fair bit faster than other ARs, but you have a smaller mag and a good bit of recoil, the vector has almost 0 recoil and a 40? round mag default. I heard somewhere that Oki will do balance post EA launch.

I have been tf2 community moderator for quite a few years on Skial servers and can say that in every game there will be cheaters, more of them always on official servers because less moderation happens, also how fast cheater getting banned is dependable on how low key cheater plays, if players goes full blow aimbot, locking on everyone teleport etc it will be a fast ban, but some cheaters are more careful and use silent aim, sometimes only wallhacks, it is very important to have enough moderators playing so they can spectate person who was reported or suspicious movement, aim so you could easier to determine if person cheating or not, also reporting someone i think its quite useless since people can easily report you for no reason and than mods need to look into that witch will have workload on them, for example on steam reporting someone of cheating will not give you any ban, you will be banned by vac.

Did not encounter any cheaters actually, maybe i'm just lucky. But my friend got beamed across the map with vector a couple of times, and although i use vector myself i hardly undestand how tf that happend to him... accuracy by volume or smth

FWIW I was getting some one hit kills with a SCAR last playtest at 100m+. It mostly came down to someone already being hurt and then getting unlucky.

balancing is dumb. people really like the game how it is and balancing now will hurt it in the future. I cannot tell you how many games I have left due to stupid balancing of weapons that dont need it.
