Once upon a time, Insurgency: Sandstorm developers released Two-Tone DLC with two-color skins for some weapon models.
You can see what it looked like on the first screenshot.
Players didn't like it and it's clear why. It looks silly and wrong. In the end the developers darkened the colors and you can see what happened in the second screenshot.
