Joke aside, nobody uses medium range scopes on ARs and SMGs in shooter games, if you are using, you are weird already, games gives you to option to use it however, there is no point making this post since it's known by everyone @shy perch

You played any other games other than your own recently? Medium range scopes are very popular in Warzone, Siege, and some of the Battlefields. And it especially makes sense given the size of some of the maps.

I played heavily Bf4 - Bf1 - Squad. COD's recoil almost not exist, of course you can use med range, not in battlebit with larger recoil, it will be very difficult to use it, @shy perch is complaining he can't control it with big recoil, and I am stating that is how it supposed to be.
I wont lower the recoil just so you guys can use med range on ARs

Warzone has super low recoil, it's pretty much not exist.
R6 is an competitive game where bullets are extremely accurate on first shots and TTK is super low which makes all weapons sort of an DMR since you can 1 tap people.
The games you compared as from game design and game loop is different.

Maybe a mounting feature that provides better recoil control for auto at longer distances but have it animation lock you for a period of time between transitions
All weapons has characteristics, stop suggesting making one weapon serves all cases

SMG for smaller maps, med maps AR, sort of camping maps, sniper (m200)
I like the P90 for CQB mostly, AS Val was fun too
I'm waiting to see if Larry adds my suggestion of the PDRC..

Armor damage is applied to light vehicles, not players tho

Checking the code now, vehicle damage was LV Damage
Light Vehicle Damage
Heavy Vehicle Damage
Armor damage was used for like drones, MDX, rally points etc

Because I named it Armor damage but it was actually reserved for Drones - MDX etc other stuff, It seems I am using that value for armors on shipped version but in editor code, it uses body damage as base.
Yeah, the unica was dealing 90 damage and that damage is the one that would bleed, so if you'd shoot a helmet that had less than 8 hp left, you could one-tap.
So it's my fault I named it badly and for testing purpose like 2-3 year ago, I left a code that uses armor damage for testing purpose but in editor code it doesn't use thatr

I play assault (medic) in Bf4 all the time, does that make engineer-support- recon useless class? No. having medickit is more preferred for most people so it's choosen.

Problem with support at the moment is lack of content.
A lot of people like the class.
In my clan there's even a few support mains, but some are playing other classes mostly because of the lack of weapons.
add that with the 2-shot lmg, and you have a machine that just ends up on the leaderboards within seconds
The movement speed is a big downside to having that much armor, but I think that's a fair tradeoff, considering how many shots you're able to endure.

i think one of the issues is how plentiful health is in those games+regen (if your on core modes)
the healthboxes/ammoboxes in BBR
it feels like no one knows theyre on the ground unless you point it out to a huge group (mainly healthboxes though this applies to ammo too)
and you dont need to look at the healthbox and hit F and or press a switch weapon key in those games to restock ammo/supplies
medics on the big playtests are basically useless and never heal even when asked (thought they probably need to learn/just started playing) lol (MED are true medics who heal!!)
BUT in BF4 healthboxes are everywhere so you can regen without need of a medic near by most of the time
and the AOE the box has so you dont need to focus on the box itself which keeps it a bit more fast paced
tho i personally like how the ammo/healthboxes are in BBR as is and health system
but im more taking this in a perspective of the other side in a way
again i like the current system but i do think classes need some type of tweak of some sort (not sure what but maybe more passive stuff?)
tho all that could be skill issue on new players not knowing mechanics yet at all xD

A normal person has a reaction time of 200-250ms, a trained person has 170ms, cybersportsmen's have 120-150ms. It is impossible to outshoot an as-val if you don't play as-val

I feel like I need to add an addition to Ren's paragraphs, which is you can kill an Val user but only when they are unable to use their weapon (I.e if they are healing themselves, reloading, or out of ammo)
If they have their weapon out, ready to use, you have no chance to outgun them only if you get creative with grenade or you use an as-val too, which is not that great :/
Val needs damage reduction and if Oki is going to add back the armour system, make the val's armour damage to be 10-20 because that ammo flies quiet slow because, you know it is a subsonic ammo.

Before the damage range on SMGs was killed I used medium range scopes on them as well and semi auto fire. I previously had a 2kd in BattleBit and most of that was from AK74 with a medium range scope.

in Semi Auto the scopes are alright, in full auto, even with bursts, you can't hit much.

IDK your take on long range scopes, but I find using the 8x to quickscope at 100-200m is very nice; also works great if you know where enemy is and fast peak from cover
Love em on big maps, use the 15x and a delta to switch and hit shots up 800-1000m a lot.
Medium has no glare and is cleaner for smaller maps

I really wish i could have the zeroing inc and dec on scroll without it changing sites. But also i'm having a weird problem where sometimes i get sway right after zooming in that doesn't go away even with full stamina.

Yeah i've got those bound already, been using alt but i might just change up my keybinds for it.
If so, I use side buttons for increase and decrease zero respectively and use reserve scroll wheel for changing optics
Also crazy thought but do top sights on high zoom scopes give off glint, i'd assume no but sometimes it seems that way.

because you can (if you don't run into idle sway issue) zoom in with high zoom scope at a target's head and change to the top or canted sight and the zero will stay, so shoot immediately and it will hit like you do for high zoom sight
Do you know if crouch or prone changes sway cuz it seems like i can quickscope standing but id assume they should reduce it
im basically doing that in reverse with the delta sight to spot other sniper glints and get my zero b4 using the 15x
