Would be handy if they were “major announcements”, so that the posts for play tests would get reposted to servers following the #game-server-news channel.

Bump on this, as they've not published any since at least this post, unsure why it's even an announcements channel if you're not gonna publish the announcements, people follow this channel to have updates in their community and it's very useless to have the channel type if you're not gonna publish the messages for at least the important stuff..
