(reposting cause put in an unappropriated channel) Why does the FAL only do 30 damage? Between slow fire rate and an abysmally small magazine as well as the real world counter part being a full power rifle cartridge why does it do less damage then an AK-15?

there is feedback channel about gun balance. As far as i understand this game does not tie its gun balancing to any realism of the guns in the game. I would say FAL is one of the better weapons in the game. So basically stating that its bad because in real life its better than X gun will not get the gun balanced to be better.

Real world comparisons should not determine balance in a game where every weapon is free and players will always gravitate towards strong outliers. In the real world less effective weapons are used due to all sorts of limitations in cost, production, availability to certain governments, etc. No such factors affect which weapons people choose in game so the devs should try to make all weapons competitive.

The fal has one on the fastest ttk's in the game... It doesn't need more dmg or a bigger mag. If you cant control the recoil, use something else.
