#Added modpacks into server and can't figure out why it won't work.

So my friend as trying to start a server with bisecthosting, kept getting errors, by the way this is for better minecraft BMC4 1.20.1.

So i was trying to see what's wrong with it because for me, when I tried logging into a single player world after downloading the modpack from off her file (sending as mediafire, i walked through that step with her in order to send curseforge modpacks on discord).

everything works but when I get into the world it's pink and black boxes on regular minecraft stuff. So I add the modpacks to my server with Bisect hosting, won't even turn on. keeps going to offline after trying to boot up.

the mods that I just added was, Hold my Items, Inventory pets and smooth swapping. Before those three were even added, my server worked.

Hi there!
Hold my items is a client side only mod (as only the player will see the item in their hand, it doesn't so anything for the server) and is crashing the server

Same goes for smooth swapping

If you want to use them just add them to your client side version of the pack, on your own PC, but leave them off the server! The server should start again with no issue after that :)

If the two mods the issue with why the servers not starting or do I need to add something?

I'm just not entirely sure what you're asking. The mods will work If you put them in the mod pack thats on your PC (client side). They can't be in the servers mod files

That's what it means when they're client side only: they dont go in the server files. They will always crash the server if they are

Just remove them from the server, keep them on your PC, and you're good

Because the mods are in the server mod files right now, and they're not supposed to be
