Updating Java server

Hello!

I am trying to keep my same world, but move versions from 1.21.10 to the new update: 1.21.11. I tries creating a new instance with the new update but it just created a new world. how do i change versions and keep my old world on jjava?

I looked around for other posts, im assuming you have had this question a lot today. although i havent seen one that has had my same issue.

When you choose the new version, select to install it on top of the current files

If you choose a new instance, it'll store the current files away and create new ones on the new version

anyway i can confirm it has a backup? or will it save the old instance either way

There's a backup and instance manager

okay, i dont have a backup there yet, i just put a manual one through

it says pending

It'll say pending as long as it's in progress
