Hi @fresh umbra ! Can you confirm that you're running the beta alternative version of Schedule I? I'll include our guide for setting this just in case! https://www.bisecthosting.com/clients/index.php?rp=/knowledgebase/2224/How-to-install-the-Schedule-I-server-mod.html
yes yes
Hmm, and all the 3 of the mods files are in the Schedule I folder?
yes yes
tried it multiple times, even redownloaded the game
I'm running it through whisky on mac tho
I guess there will be the problem
Gotcha. Could I have you send us a message via our Support system? I'd like to try to get this to our Games Integration Specialists to see if there is anything we can do to get things working on a Mac.
yeah I talked to the support through your website and explained the problem to them
Would it be okay if I sent you a DM to ask for more information? I'd like to make sure that this gets to our specialists and follow up on that message.
I managed to fix it
the problem was with the dll that comes with the mod
winhttp.dll
for someone else in my boots to fix this you have to install winhttp.dll through winetricks in whisky
Gotcha! I will make a note of this and send it to our team. Thank you so much for bringing it to our attention.
no problem
yee this is needed unfortunately as otherwise Wine outright ignores the one provided hah I'll get this passed to our KB team as a note. Apologies for the confusion!
- To note in the meantime, all that should need done is setting winhttp=n,b as a Wine DLL Override 👀 (Where thats set differs, but it should be in the winecfg)
Hey sorry to chime in but in my setup i was browsing the support section and noticed this. What is winetricks and whisky?
Winetricks = a set of tools for those using Mac/Linux running a tool called Wine which runs windows based executables. Its basically an emulator but for the Windows OS instead of stuff like an emulator for Gameboy 👀 - it installs stuff like VCRuntime, .NET, etc
Whisky is a tool for Mac that runs Wine (and therefore, Windows based tools)
Since stuff made for Windows (i.e .exe ) doesnt work on its own when ran on Linux or macOS
oh so its a way for mac or linux to essentially virtualize windows scripts? thats dope
More or less, yeah ~ its got its flaws and limitations, but at this point its pretty good at its job hah
A good example more people tend to know about is Proton which Steam (Valve) made, which is basically a build of Wine that Valve maintains with their own tweaks/adjustments
(Its the thing that runs stuff on Steamdeck 👀 )
like ysl for linux systems. thank you so much for clarity. I was looking for what language my dll speaks to edit what was mentioned but was hitting brick walls, i know now. thank you
Np!
