Stop the server, then change the setting, then start it.

whenever I set the value as 0 the numbers disapear and then When i turn the server back on it reverts to 16

When the server stops, it writes the in-memory value on to the file. So the order you should do things is:

1. Stop the server
2. Edit the value
3. Start the server

What do you mean the numbers disappear?

If 0 isn't in the file, it's invalid and the server goes back to the default as a safety.
