Turning off certain mods

buddies and I are playing rlcraft and they said theyre starting to get sick and tired of having to watch for temp control and hydration, any way to turn it off? I tried the mod options but its not working

Rlcraft is made to be as hard as it can possibly be so some settings arent meant to be changed and they've made sure of it 😅

You can remove the mod, it's the 'simple difficulty' mod.

So if I remove the mod, would I have to restart the world?

Deleted the mod, restarted the world, and its coming up as an old verison

so I guess I do have to make a new world

or would I have to change something in the settings

You used to be able to just disable thirst and temperature in the config files, that's what I did.

But if you said you tried that and it wouldnt work?

yeah, it didnt work in the config files

Where and what did you change?

I deleted simple difficulty in the mod files in the contorl panel

I just created a singleplayer world, and it seems it was off through the config

dont know why it wasnt working in the server
