Hello, I just go a server to play with my friends. I want to play cobblemon, and seen this is a pre installed mod on your hosting website. I just can't find where to install it, and on the support page, I can't get any further.

On your server's control panel. Open the Minecraft Jar menu. Search for Cobblemon, install the version you are wanting to play.

And how do I get people to play? They just get my IP, get the right pack on curseforge and go?

little kiln
#

Correct. Give them the server's IP Address (and port if not using a dedicated IP), then they can connect by installing the same version of the modpack on their computer.

You can upload the mod .jar files to the mods folder in the server's file manager. However, most mods will require that everyone connecting install them to their game too.

Unfortunately not. Minecraft isn't designed to do that. Unless a mod is designed to be server-side only, everyone else will need to install it manually before connecting.

Ok so then I have to upload a fully mod pack to CurseForge, and they download that?

If the the server is for some friends, it may be easier to just send them the link to each additional mod you are adding with instructions on how to add them to their cobblemon profile on the CurseForge launcher (Or whatever launcher they are using)

Depending on the terms of Cobblemon, you might not be allowed to use their modpack as a base and reupload the entire thing to CurseForge.

If you're wanting to run a public server, I'd suggest not adding anything other then some QOL server-side mods. That way anyone can just install the ready to go modpack and connect.

Ok thank you for now :)

Np!

unreal mango
#

How do I make players mod?

little kiln
#

Mod in what way? Like giving them /gamemode and other commands?

little kiln
#

Unless cobblemon has something else built-in, you just the ability to give them OP, which grants every admin command.

/op playername

Otherwise, you'll need to install a permissions manager like LuckPerms to create ranks and limit what commands they can use.

unreal mango
#

Where can I configure LuckPerms?

Seems like no command is actually working

#

Like

#

none

#

Not even the ones from cobblemon itself

unreal mango
#

Do I need to add special plugsins for that?

Please send some logs over so we can help resolve your issue. To access logs on your Minecraft server, please navigate to your server panel's File Manager and take the following path:

1. Open the Server's File Manager
2. Navigate inside the 'logs' folder
3. Click on "latest.log" to download it and send the file over Discord to this channel.

Just reinstalled the server

#

Didnt work

fickle sky
#

I'm not seeing LuckPerms present.

#

Are you sure you grabbed the right version - for Fabric on 1.21.1?

unreal mango
#

Its that I can't use any commands

fickle sky
#

Which are you trying to use?

#

Because you were talking about LuckPerms previously, I thought you were talking about LuckPerms' commands.

unreal mango
#

./op

#

./gamemode

#

./cobblemon

fickle sky
#

You can only op if you're already op.

#

Gamemode is restricted to ops.

#

(At least until you have LuckPerms working)

#

I don't know how Cobblemon mod does its permissions.

unreal mango
#

I can't give OP via command chat?

fickle sky
#

Not unless you're already op.

#

First op has to be done through the server Console.

unreal mango

That was what I looking for

#

Seems like mods I install don't go in as well :l

#

Custom ones

fickle sky
#

Are you putting them in the mods folder and then restarting?

unreal mango
#

Yes. I stop the server, add to the mods folder, and start

#

Commanda which come with the mod do nog exist

fickle sky
#

!llogs ⬇️ and what mods are you adding?
