#players unable to join server

is there any way to fix this issue? two of my players are having this. we believe it's internet related but i'm not sure as their internet should be runnable
myself and 3 other people have never had this issue

Both of those messages are suggestive that their client (the Minecraft on their PC) has different versions of the mods than what the server has. Ask them to review the mods on the PC and compare the server's mods' versions to their PCs' versions.

I would think that their client would write in the client log why the join failed. You might ask them to look.

also im not sure what this is, but the server is throwing a fit right now after deleting a few mods and won't turn off again lol

alrighty so my server is fixed
here's one of my players logs showing them being timed out, i also screenshotted the part showing the mods they do/dont have
fallingtree, toofast, and chestlogger are all serverside mods, so i dont think they would need them since everyone else is running fine without them
the modpack includes modnametooltip as well as justzoom, and i as well as other players are running fine with it
i told them to try removing JEI, since that is the only one i havent tested

I didn't see anything that just screamed "THIS HERE IS THE PROBLEM", I did see this message which might be a problem:

It's weird that the log just ends. I would have expected to see something saying why the join failed.

Are you sure you got the entire log? Make sure you quit the Minecraft client before grabbing the log; the client may have cached entries that are not yet flushed to the log.

true, i believe the only thing they added was embeddium and jei, let me check the list again
embeddium tends to cause NBT errors on occasion, not sure why. removing it or restarting the pc fixes it

mighty mail is a recent addition, but the other player had the same problem before it was added
our server config is quite large (we have a lot of addons in our config), but it has nothing to do with mighty mail

Good luck. I've got no Minecraft server myself; all the above was pure "troubleshooter" examination of that client log.

getting the server set up in the early days was a mess since its my first server 😭

Oh I know. Setting up Project Zomboid servers with mods is ... tiresome to get working.

they added server-side mods and removed some client mods, but still they cant join, and it looks like the same issue, although its not saying "unable to ping" now
for some reason, after removing JEI, they can no longer load a singleplayer game (this log is with JEI though)
im having them remove JEI again to see the log

Sometimes errors like the first two you sent in this thread can be fixed by the connectivity mod and its dependency cupboard. If those don't work Packetfixer and XLPackets are the next I usually try. If those weren't the mods they added in your ticket I would suggest giving them a try to see if they help.

are all of those mods compatible with eachother? i added connectivity and cupboard, and it actually fixed a different issue i was having, but the player in question is still unable to join

hi guys im back
the player was on since this afternoon (roughly 5-6 hours), then was randomly kicked with a fieldsize error, which turned into nbt, then back into fieldsize
before they were kicked, they were peacefully building
idk what is happening 😭
i get nbt error everytime i try to join, but after restarting my pc it lets me in. same goes for other players who get this error, although i seem to get it most frequently. restarting did not work for this player
