My friend recently bought a Bisecthosting server to host Crazy Craft on as our other games are going into off season. I recently joined some other discords that suggested 5gbs is good for 1-5 players (right now it's just us two but we may have two more people join). The only problem is it recently gave my friend an error saying there was no more memory storage and we've only been playing for two or three days and we don't want to spend another sum of money unless we absolutely have to. Is this typical? (I wasn't sure where to post so delete if not allowed)

Memory and storage are two different things - the exact error message would be necessary.
Thank you, I'll get my friend to send me a picture
Although if it's a pc problem on his end would I have server issues? Because I was trying to take a trinket off and it duplicated the item (granted I think it was just a visual thing, i didn't end up with multiple trinkets)
i got the error myself, we actually logged on and it was working just fine (the visual bug was a problem on my end) but is this caused by my pc or the server?
I just checked and my pc has one terrabyte free
You have a terabyte of RAM?
Most industrial strength servers max out at half that.
imma be honest idk the terminology
def not of ram
on my pc drive
but im back on, playing just fine with some lag but my friend was having quite a bit of trouble with that error message above. Theres a bit of lag for me but thats it
Yeah, that's not memory - that's storage.
What launcher are you using? You probably need to go into its settings to let Minecraft use more RAM.
Im using curseforge and now that you say that, i was told once to increase something in curseforge to play all the mods 9 so maybe thats it
sounds vaguely familiar now that you've mentioned it
is there a recommended amount i should allow minecraft to use?
Start with 4GB, maximum should be 8GB or 50% of what your system has, whichever's less.
