@candid fable : Grabbed this out of the moderation queue for you:

Prominence II Hasturian Era - clean modpack, no added mods or anything.

I've tweaked the server to Xms and xms to 14gb as recommended by Luna Pixel Staff.

Spark Report:

https://spark.lucko.me/kBBO3GPQ6q

I already contacted Bisect Support and the person helping me said that it was an in-game issue.

There is something wrong with the Ticks. I have been asking for help in the Luna Pixel Discord in the ModPack Channel, I even got Premium VIP there in hopes they'd help me out more but so far I haven't gotten much help. Not to come off as demanding or mean <.<

spark is a performance profiler for Minecraft clients, servers, and proxies.

Also deleted your other post since that topic was a bit edgy for a PG-13 Discord.

ah sorry if there was something like that

Taking a super quick look at the Spark report, you have a ton of falling blocks - 275.

#

That's a huge chunk of desert somewhere causing issues. Or someone made a sand/gravel duper?

We just launched a clean new world, and in every new world same issue. Even on the one we played on for 30+ hours

#

I asked one of the Luna Staff if I should remove Neruina but they said nono even after seeing the Spark report

Are people building chunkloaders? The number of chunks loaded is parallel to the lag increasing.

Everyone has starting level items so to speak

This issue made me question if something was wrong with the Server itself like hardware or smthn idk. But that's been debunked. And I can't scratch my two braincells as to why I'm the only one dealing with this issue with the ModPack even if I'm paying more than what others are getting apparently 🤔

#

Spark says its something ingame, but I can't see how

#

as it lasts forever

I mean, in the summary it says the two highest entity counts are items on the ground and falling blocks. Both cause a lot of lag, and the world is pushing 300 of each.

#

The zombies pathfinding/AI is causing a lot of this, but not enough to be the sole issue.

TL;DR he found out my server is running on a super old node with outdated parts... could this actually be true?

Bisect doesn't throw out old hardware just because it's old - that's wasteful, and a lot of that hardware isn't getting properly recycled.

You can reply back to your ticket to ask if the modpack is possibly too heavy for the CPU and they'll look for something newer to move you to. But enough modpacks run just fine on those CPUs that there's not much point in decommissioning them.

#

"Premium" has nothing to do with the hardware and everything to do with the extra services rolled in. Budget gets access to the same hardware pool.

#

Also, you cannot set your own -Xmx or -Xms settings - -Xmx is how Bisect sets the memory you paid for - that's controlled by the billing system.

#

And as a Java developer myself, I've still not seen any evidence that setting -Xms to the same as the max is beneficial - especially since you don't seem to be memory constrained in any way.

Another important thing to note here is you have over 250 falling blocks in limbo (falling_block: 274) ~ those can be pretty tanky to TPS; and those are seen as an entity which checks with the spark report showing mob threads

But yeah as Ceridwen said, if you want to see if it could be a CPU issue and request a node move; we 100% can do that for you yesyes

#

kill @e[type=minecraft:falling_block) in console to clear those out 👀 may not aid it completely, but its good practice to snap those if theres TPS trouble

#

based on that report though overall, while I dont see a node move 100% aiding it; it def could help ~ Prominence is pretty beefy

candid fable
#

thats a stupid question mb xd
I'll make a ticket

bright fulcrum
#

Yup yup! Node moves are all ticket side as we gotta make sure your files and whatnot make it over

#

Plus nobody here can start them except staff anyway and we need the ticket for security purposes haha

candid fable
#

its so weird I'm the only one with this issue in Prominence II trying to host it and it sucks for the me and the people trying to play it ;-;

bright fulcrum
#

They likely checked the cpu use overall for the machine, what you say and how you say it does matter for stuff like techincal support

#

whats your ticket number?

Yeah cant seem to track it on my end atleast easily without that, Id just explain what youre looking to do (i.e tldr the chat here, me/Ceridwen said you could request a node move for troubleshooting)

#

Odds are twas a misunderstanding
