#Server crashes as soon as 2 people join

hi! i've started up a MC server that i only play with one other person. we were playing on it completely fine for a couple of hours until it suddenly crashed (and crashed my entire game giving me exit code -1, but this didn't happen for the other person). the server restarts itself when it crashes, and one person can join just fine, but as soon as a second person does, it crashes again and immediately restarts, so two people cant be on it at once. the only crash report i get is the one in the photo. id put the entire thing but im not sure how to do that. thanks so much :(

im also using the modpack Better MC BMC4 with forge if that helps

I'm shocked no responded to you, i guess Xmas makes most Discords go quiet. Hopefully you opened a ticket as those people aren't allowed to sleep during any holiday.

Generally when a server crashes soon as one of the players joins is because that player either encountered an issue in the area that caused the server to crash. Or that player made something that is causing aberrant issues on the server.

Seems what you have is watchdog error. When server takes more than a default amount of time to process stuff in the master game loop, default is 1 minute 60000 found in the server.properties.

This is an issue with large mod packs like BMC4, anything over 200 mods is a large mod pack btw. I recommend changing Max Tick Time to 300000 which will give the master game loop 5 minutes to decide that it's hung.

if you guys build machines and factories using only vanilla items, ie hoppers, pistions, droppers etc, I'm going to recommend you rebuild them using the modded machines that are in the pack as those are better optimized. If you have mob/item/xp farm running. make sure it only operates when you are standing on its trigger and stops when you get off of its trigger.

in the future if you post an issue in discord and one of us volunteers don't respond within 15 minutes simply open a ticket.
