#Server running behind on ms

Hi! I have a budget Minecraft server of 14GB RAM, which i'm running a server for around 10-20 current players. In the past I have run with even more players and had barely any issues of lag, but with a new modpack installed this time there is constant lag. The console says every 30 seconds that it's running behind ticks and ms

The RAM isn't being fully used, not even over 50% so I am not sure what the issue is

Usually between 3000 and 8000 ms behind, around 100 ticks behind

I've tried removing a few mods or editing config for some to edit, but everything I change doesn't fix. How can I troubleshoot or find the problem? Will I need to add + remove each mod 1 by 1 to find what is making the big lag issues?

Spark
How to provide a Spark sampler.

  1. Stop your server.
  2. Download Spark: https://modrinth.com/mod/spark/versions
  3. Upload the mod to your server:
Filemanager > mods (for modded servers)
or Filemanager > plugins (for plugin based servers)
(Just drag & drop the file)
  4. Start the server.
  5. Use the command /spark sampler
  6. Wait 10-15 minutes.
  7. Use the command /spark sampler --stop

I've done this, viewed the results. How does it show me what the issue is? It's a bit complex to understand

Have you put a cap on Alex's Mobs spawns?

AlexMobs is known to cause lag issues (i have this myself)

That mod is notorious for making lag when you have over 4 players.

Quark is pretty heavy in here, too. Feeding Troughs calculating "attraction" seems to be the main culprit there.

Neither mod is really essential to the pack so I might get rid of both of them
