Hello! This is my first time using BisectHosting and Im looking to mod a server for me and my friends. I figured it would take a while or be a longer process to upload them individually, as there's quite a few mods; so I compressed them into a 7zip file and attempted to upload that instead. However all I recieve is a network error with every attempt. Could it be the file size? a connection issue? any thoughts will help. Thank you!

this sounds entirely like an internet issue. to get around it use an ftp program and the details found under the credentials in the upper right in the files section.

#

if even that fails you, diagnosing your internet issues will be a great first step. In which case an MTR report will help us figure out if its on your side or the bh side.

How to provide an MTR:

  1. Download the following MTR software: https://bisecthosting.com/clients/downloads/WinMTR.exe
  2. Where it says 'Host' type in your server's IP (without the port)
  3. Click the 'Start' button
  4. Wait for the very first number under the 'Sent' column to reach at least 500
  5. Click Stop
  6. Click the 'Copy Text to Clipboard' button and paste the results into a Pastebin (http://pastebin.com/) and provide us with the link.

There are entries when you run it, the first entry is your side, the last entry is bisecthosting's side. the parts in between won't matter to us. We're look for the first entry and last entry to have 0% packet loss. Which will indicate that the internet path from you to BH is healthy. If the packet loss is on the BH side, open a ticket. if it's on your side, call your isp.
