#Minecraft world doesn't load fully

Hi,

I used to have a Minecraft (Java) server with BisectHosting, but I cancelled it for a few months. I backed up my MC world before cancelling the server.

Now, when I paste the "world" folder into the server files (after deleting the old "world" folder), I do get spawned at the coordinates where my base used to be and have all my items, but everything is wiped.

Upon further investigation, I found out that everything within 1000 blocks centered around spawn disappeared and just became unloaded chunks again. This also happened in the nether as my ice path was cut off at 1000 blocks. I have tried loading the world in SP by pasting it in the saves folder and it worked 100%, everything including my base was there. It just doesn't work in the server.

Does anyone know the reason why this happens? Any help would be greatly appreciated as its a 2 year old world.

Sounds like region files didn't all get uploaded.

You zipped the save, uploaded, and then unzipped?

I unzipped first then uploaded

#

Should I try to upload then unzip it?

Yes. That way if it doesn't upload completely, the zip won't unzip.

This way you don't know if the browser skipped a file accidentally here and there.
