#how does one actually make a custom sequenced assembly using kubejs create?

the one used in the wiki is confusing to understand and i dont understand how to implement the specific sequences for pressing/cutting/deploying/filling/etc.
also for transitional items are they needed and do i have to make a new one with textures and everything or can i just use a item in-game as the transitional item (for example, a gold sheet from create)
