I want to modify the nbt of an item (specifically Minecraft's gold sword and axe) to have an Apotheosis Gem Socket by default, and I'm wondering if it's even possible.

Would I have to change the item in the players inventory? Can I give the item this nbt as it's registered?

Check when the item is crafted or enters your inventory and use the apoth command to add a slot
