iirc all you need to do is have it tagged as farmersdelight:knives and as a sword type item

but will it accept Backstabbing instead of Sharpness?

well, one way to find out; however, I solved the need for a custom knife through another method. i'll leave this ticket open if anyone else needs it, though, I guess?
