-Playtime: Encountered in all saves on current beta branch, ranging from ~5 mins to ~13 hours
-Versions: 0.15.0.11 and 0.15.0.9
-Debug log: No entries generated
-Mods: No mods ever installed or game files altered

Expected behavior: Using the mouse scrollwheel's middle-click on the map, then holding the click and moving the mouse, should rotate the nav map. This is the current behavior in the stable branch version 0.14.5.20 for both the Nav Station itself and the Nav Map PDA app.

Actual behavior: There doesn't seem to be any way to rotate the map with the mouse at all. It is still possible to rotate using Q and E on the Nav Map app, or (very imprecisely) at the Nav Station itself with the same buttons in conjunction with the switch on the "Control Toggle" nav module.

My apologies if this is not a bug, but given the usefulness of that feature for navigating crowded areas and the fact that the nap map was redesigned as part of this patch, it looked like it was probably just overlooked to apply that input to the new map.

You're not the only one who remembers this! I'm not sure what changed, but I absolutely remember being able to do smooth rotation with the MMB and I miss it terribly!

Yes, it was very handy to be able to effectively draw a line to represent your current trajectory. On that note, it would be amazing if there were some kind of switch to auto-rotate the map to have the ship's heading or trajectory (or even the target) be up , like the ship/target/none translational tracking switch but for rotation.
