I docked normally with OKLG then I was doing some uninstalling and reinstalling and all the sudden this ship popped up. The ship that spawned in randomly may have been a ship I called to follow me but I already docked with probably about 15-30 mins before hand maybe it came back and docked with my vessel even though I was already docked in OKLG some how. Save included and I'll post the debug in the comments. Otherwise I have no clue what happened I did everything else normally.

Please clarify.

Also, please press F1 to remove fog of war for a clearer screenshot 🙂

The ship I saw on your save appears to be your own.

I sat down at your NAV and saw an NPC ship fly in to dock, but it did not show up at any of the Port's docks.

Will do the next bug I run into. When I reloaded the game the ship is gone obviously. But in the first screenshot its phased inside of the space station. Other then that I haven't been able to replicate this bug. I'm almost certain it has to do with a ship trying to dock with you when you are already docked with another ship or maybe its just a pirate that somehow docked when I was already in the station? Its possibly a result of when I called that same ship before the point in the save to steal the nav data for the ship names its interacted with and it likely followed me because its not the one who initiated the dock causing this? I'm not sure how it really works just a guess.

I see. I saw that post but decided to make a new one because I really don't think its a pirate. It could be if the "neutral" AI ships can switch to attack at some point but act like normal AI up until that point. I'm still pretty new to the game and not really sure how the combat (pirates ect) work in this game really. Though from that same post I read it seems like they spawn in and come straight to you unless I misunderstood leading me to believe more it wasn't a pirate.

Check the pilot/ship's faction whenever something like that happens. If the faction is something like Ogadan Paranta, they're pirates. KOS, as they will not hesitate to shiv you.

But it should not happen at all ^_^

Ohh ok. So how do I tell whether they are a pirate or not? I'm pretty sure this is the ship that caused the bug in this picture when I was going for the derelict names. If it was a pirate does the 0 in the front of the designation denote their faction? or is there another way to tell?

No. O is just one of the random ship prefixes. Faction is shown on the map screen, in the info box next to the map

I see the F: shows me the faction. Thanks I'm sure that will keep me from being blown to pieces in the future.

Pirates like to play possum. They will sit motionless (grey ship icon) until you get fairly close, then they will charge at you, full throttle.

Are you saying that the pirates sit with their transmitter off pretending to be wreckage and then divebomb you when you least expect it? That's hilarious and exactly what I can't wait to do when they make force boarding skips have more consequences (or at least keeping my transmitter off when committing crimes in game)
