#Crash when playing

Happened Twice

I have an issue where the game crashes my PC. Not a crash to desketop but a complete black screen PC restarts crash. The first time it happened my PC froze with a black screen and my PC fans went at super speed, and I had to force a restart by holding down the power button. The second time I got a black screen and my PC just restarted on its own.

Save attached. I can't say what's causing it as it seems to happen randomly. On this occasion I was repairing a reactor core.

Generally speaking a user mode application shouldn't be able to knock out the OS/hardware. Have you looked into EventViewer to see if its logging any Critical errors? Black screen / reboot could be the new "BSOD".

Lemme see what happens on my end.

Are any other games/apps/etc doing this sort of thing? What OS and version? It might be a case of defective RAM - You can look for memtest86 online (a free scanner tool) to test it; just set aside a day or so when you won't be using your system at all to let it do its thing. Yes, seriously - Make sure it's running and then go on a day trip or something.

It could also be the game somehow throwing a memory access violation error. Or the system overheating. I loaded it up and repaired the Core; no issues. I'm just gonna let it run on autotask for a while and see what happens.
