#Zones got all smeared

Somehow all my zones got corrupted and striped across the map.

It happened some where between this save and the prior one which was before docking. I tried recreating it by docking again from the old save, but it didn't happen.

The other attached image is how it was before it was corrupted.
In the save where the corruption zones happened, a few interesting things...

  • I have an altar in the bathroom
  • There was meat on the far upper right of the map. And it seemed to be shrinking.
  • A meteorite hit my hull at the far bottom of the screen.

Sorry. Not sure if any of that is relevant.

I never did the meat altar ritual because I haven't figured that out yet.

Likely due to Stacking/overlapping items that shouldn't be stackable. All of those things are known symptoms of that. It doesn't matter where the items were stacked (they could be anywhere you've been), or whether or not the AI did so without your knowledge; the result is the same.

Honestly, I've got a similar (but not the same) issue as this, and they might be tied to the same bug. In my case, my marked zones don't stay the way i set them up, it seems to at random combine zones. It may or may not be the same bug, when it happens again, i'll upload a save.

@hardy basin Could be. I had set a bunch of cargo containers to haul. And I only noticed the problem with the zones when they start putting things in places I had not designated. I reorganized everything, pulled a wall segment from every room and then rebuilt them and the zones.

I was once able to get multiple carts to stack and add stack count to them. But that was several months ago. Not sure if that'd be helpful to tracking down the initial cause of this bug.

@hardy basin Ah, found the image of it. I think in this case I had parked my cart at the "default" spot for new purchases to go. And I bought a new cart.

Yeah, that'll do it. They just did some patching with regards to the stack indicator showing up, too. Guess they missed one 🙂
