It would be nice to have a cut-in and cut-out setting for the sensors.
For example: pressure sensor - cut in 80 kPa, cut out at 95 kPa.
Then maybe make it a dual contact sensor - additional cut in 110 kPa, cut out 95 kPa. 2 electric connections connect to the air pump.
The first contact activates the pump as normal. The second contact activates the pump AND the reverse on the pump (would need to implement another clamping point for electrical connection in the pump).
Alternatively - if two values would be too much, then just set the "hysteresis" value (+15 or -15 kPa fix, and control the + or - like "reverse" on the pumps) on the sensor and the set point to produce the same effect:
Set point 95 kPa ; hysteresis 15 kPa ; reverse is flipped:
cut in: 95-15 = 80 kPa, cut out: 95 kPa
for the other value
Set point 95 kPa ; hysteresis 15 kPa ; reverse NOT flipped:
cut in: 95+15= 110 kPa, cut out: 95 kPa
This would be for a pump compensating for both over- and underpressure.
Did not come very far in the game as yet, so I don't know if there is something like a fully automatic climate control system later.
What I do know is that these sensors are quite common IRL and all work in such a manner. The reason is mostly to reduce equipment cycling.
The sensor "hysteresis" is probably programmed into the game, just not sure what it is.
