This is my most complete boat from among my "dead" saves, and is a 90% done WIP as of when I took this shot. I later added a reactor before my own continued shenanigans rendered the file basically unplayable, so, alas, it is fated never to reach completion.

This wee lass, aka THE CUBE, is almost entirely MSS Lightweight flooring/walls and Cargo Webs; it began as a Testudo Dream. It is, in many ways, an exercise in overkill ^_^ Half of my design decisions sprang out of "Will this work? Let's find out!" thoughts. I could bump the throttle up to maybe 10~15% before reaching the point at which the vibrations threatened to tear the whole rig apart.

I can probably get a pic of it. Half of the mods differ but I can give it a shot.

~~Something happened that slowed my chara and half of the NPCs to a snail's pace and I eventually abandoned it. I even have a video. Note the game speed shown in the corner ^_^

Well either way. Give me your save file! 😇 Lol. Maybe that is not asking nicely, but Discord tends to have way too many people from around the world. And even asking nicely for someone else's data could be considered an insult. So whatever. 🤣

I don't feel like crafting politically correct messages at the moment. 😇 But if your save is dead, I can try to recover your ship data from the save file. That is, if you'd like to finish the ship in ship builder. I'd like to see a final version. 😉 Just an FYI.

"Jane Jaques Jinn Schmidt VIII", "JoJo Jaquard Jeringer Smitty VII" are my oldest surviving saves with that naming scheme

The last one I used that the game created was Bonchance Jesus Banks

Hmmm, I think I'm only on my 4th or 5th character. I always hate starting over again, so will play the same game until it fixes itself.

I knew it was going to take a few tries for me to really figure out the game, so I was prepared for that. I think it took me 6 starts to really get a handle on things.

but this is a Beta; that is what I expected. When v15 comes around, I will start anew, as I presume that any existing saves and mods will be incompatible to some extent. That, and a fresh, unmodded game is the most useful for finding bugs

Obsessed is exactly the word I would use for my situation as well. I don’t know what it is, but I can just stare at a finely crafted ship design for hours. The devs have somehow done what I had always wanted to do myself. Create a hardcore survival game where engineering a well designed ship actually makes a difference in gameplay.

I can’t stop thinking about my ship and enjoying the designs of others. It’s pretty cool actually. Looking forward to seeing what new space adventures we can take our creations on next. 😎

Is there a way to buy battleships with scrip or cash? I didn't see any derelict trading in Ceres either, so we just... go nab a ship and pilot it yeah? board-board-board

I don't think so. Dunno if they plan to make that possible or no, but Ceres is rich with potential ships to plunder. Just assimilate them and make them your own. Resistance is futile.
